See how your end-of-service gratuity grows with service — three weeks’ wage for every year under Law 14/2004, Article 54.

15 weeks’ wage (5 × 3 weeks).
After 10 years

30 weeks’ wage — double the 5-year figure.
Because the rate is flat at three weeks per year, your Qatar gratuity grows in a straight line — ten years pays exactly twice what five years pays.

How the three-weeks rule works

Qatar’s Article 54 sets a statutory minimum of three weeks’ basic wage for every year of service, once you have completed one year. To turn your monthly salary into a weekly figure, multiply by 12 and divide by 52 — then multiply by three for each year worked.

Unlike Saudi Arabia or Kuwait, Qatar uses the same rate for every year, so there is no jump after five years and no resignation reduction in the statutory minimum. Many employers agree a higher rate — a full month per year is common — in which case your gratuity is larger than the figures above.
