Under Article 54 of the Qatar Labour Law (Law No. 14 of 2004), an employee who completes one year of service is entitled to an end-of-service gratuity of at least three weeks’ basic wage for each year worked. The weekly wage is derived from your monthly basic — monthly × 12 ÷ 52 — and multiplied by three.
Three weeks per year is the statutory floor. Many employers agree a higher rate in the contract; if yours does, enter the agreed number of weeks per year to see your specific entitlement. Partial years are paid pro-rata.
Both examples assume a QAR 10,000 monthly basic wage at the statutory three weeks per year.
Basic vs gross salary. The gratuity is based on the basic wage. Allowances are generally excluded unless your contract treats them as part of the basic wage for end-of-service purposes.
